"Total escapism and a significant challenge"
Treks take place 2 or 3 times a year in March and September. March allows you to see the remnants of the winter snow, walking using crampons for the upper half of the trek. September avoids the heat and rain of the extreme Moroccan seasons with trekking over rock and some scree.
"Richard and Mohammed were on hand from arrival to departure; superb organisation, leadership and attentiveness to the differing levels of ability within the group"
A 7,960 foot climb broken down into 2 stages. 4,526 feet and 3,434 feet. The first day is barely 8 miles.
Day one is about 8 hours with a long lunch break. The summit day is around 9 hours. The descent day is under 4 hours. Total distance over 3, or 4 days in winter, is no more than 21 miles.
"I can’t thank you enough for organising such a fantastic trip. It was a great achievement for us all and there was so much fun and laughter along the way"
"It was probably the best group trip that I have ever been on, down entirely to the people involved and I will never forget it, I even got to see lenticular clouds!! Firstly, and most importantly, thank you for such a terrific experience. We've all discussed how lucky we were to have such a great team of people, but I don't think it was all luck, an eclectic group like that needs a great leader too. I think you were great fun, sensitive to everyone's needs, and highly organised"
"First of all my thanks to Richard, Mohamed and his team for making it happen, I know it is a lot of hard work and much of it happens behind the scenes. It is a long time since I have been involved in anything like this and it has made me question where the crossroads were that made me stop doing it. Perhaps it was using the children as an excuse as I got older and more risk averse. It has certainly made me question my goals and priorities in life. Thanks once again and I will treasure the memories"
"Exhilarating and challenging climb in an outstanding place. You are certainly in good company with Richard and his knowledge and experience really does add to the trip"
"A fantastic trip, well done in organising it so thoroughly, and managing to get 12 strangers to get along so well"
