What We Do

Guide small groups (6 to 12) up Jebel Toubkal and other routes in the Atlas Mountains of Morocco over a long weekend with the opportunity to visit Marrakech.

Countdown to March Trek

It’s more that just a trek…..you’ll discover yourself too with time to reflect away from the hustle and bustle of daily life

The Long Weekend

Day 1:

Fly out to Marrakech - met on arrival - stay in accommodation of your choice. Afternoon to recover and explore before having dinner with the group in a Berber restaurant feasting on traditional Tagine

Day 2:

Drive to village at the base of the Mountain - 90 min journey. Main kit carried by mules - day long trek of around 8 hrs to refuge at 3,120m (10,233’). That's a 4,526' climb over 8 miles

Day 3:

Acclimatisation Day - Winter skills training in post glacial valley. Return to refuge

Day 4:

Trek to summit. That’s a 3,434' climb. Return to refuge. A long day of around 9 hours

Day 5:

Descend to village for lunch - return to Marrakech to visit souks (markets) etc - celebration dinner

Day 6:

Transfer to airport - depart Morocco

March Trek

March and September treks are both 6 days. March involves walking (not climbing) using crampons and an ice axe as a walking pole. Day 3 is a skills training day spent in the vicinity of the refuge learning how to walk in crampons and acclimatising.
